What I liked
The staff in MAU were good and efficient, if drips needed changing they did quickly. They responded quickly.
The doctor in A&E tried really hard to get me the correct treatment, including going to the other end of the hospital to find the neurologist on the ward round to beg them to sign the drugs form. The MAU doctors also worked quickly (most of them),
What could be improved
The arrogance of some of the consultants. Being difficult about signing drug order forms for things that cost less than £5.
A&E took 3hours 54 mins and then i was discharged and it wasnt explianed to me what i was supposed to do
Some junior doctors need to have better time management skills and communicate with the patients, ie the doctor said i'll go and find out what happening and then i didnt see them again, i asked 3 different nurses before i got an answer
Anything else?
Disabled car parking very hard to find a space.
Food is awful, there is no diary free option and what is offered looked horrid, i was in for 4 days and i didnt eat a single item
My discharge piece of paper is rubbish, it doesnt say anything of any use, when i asked i was told it was in my file which is not much good if i have the same problem again and end up somewhere else.
"The staff in MAU were good and ..."
