My father had some growths in his bladder removed on the 22nd Oct 2015, he has COPD and contracted a chest infection while on Poplar ward and after much argument he came home after 8 days with the catheter. He was unable to attend urology follow up appointment as he was still immobile and 3 times we asked for the diagnosis to be sent to GP. That did not happen..Even after 8 visits to the GP in Dec and Jan for severe itchy rash they not only failed to diagnose as Scabies which he contracted in Whipps Cross Hospital (diagnosed in Feb by private doctor and treated in hours) they failed to provide the Hospital diagnoses. He was admitted to A&E on 8th Aug after a fall and was told by Doctors that he would be seen by his Urology doctor asap to discuss options as he had cancer. From AAu to Sage ward and tonight to Curie Ward, 4 days later and he still hasn't had that visit from Urology. Please tell me how this is a good service.
"Complete and utter disgrace"
