My 90year old mum was admitted to the Stroke Unit last Thursday and after assessment was taken to B2.I was very worried as l could not visit because my husband had been discharged from Wythenshawe hospital the very same day after a 3 week stay with a serious infection. He could not be left as he was very weak, wobbly and unsteady on his feet, just about able to shuffle using a frame. The sister, nurses, speech therapist and physio updated me daily on mum's condition and l could ring them whenever l wanted. She is being discharged today back to her flat and they have arranged appropriate transport and are going to speak to the carers at her assisted living complex.Nothing has been too much trouble, they have been absolutely fantastic so thankyou very very much B2 and Stepping Hill hospital ---you made a very worrying time for a daughter a lot more easier to bear and looked after her mum with dedication and compassion.
