Last month was probably one of the worst of my whole 73 years. My son was found to have a huge tumour on his brain. It was a terrible shock to say the least especially as the doctors seem to think the tumour had been growing for a number of years. Within a few days they had operated and removed every single bit of the tumour which thankfully was benign (the operation took nine hours altogether) The longest 9 hours of my life!
The care and attention my son received whilst in Mckissock ward was second to none. The staff bent over backward to attend to him at all times, also made us, his family as comfortable as possible whilst we were waiting. Nothing was too much trouble. I would like to say Thankyou to every single member of staff on McKissock ward and a real special Thankyou to the Neuro Surgeon and their team who saved my son's life. I can never thank you enough. You are all amazing.Thank you
