"Accident and emergency"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

My husband was taken by ambulance to A and E from Haywards Heath at lunchtime Sat 23 July in severe abdominal pain.

I would just like to say that the ambulance crew and all the staff in Majors 2 B were wonderful and he was treated very well. It was eye opening to see the varied incidents that they dealt with in the 11 hours that we were there and also how rude, drunk and difficult some members of the public are to all the staff there. Would like to put on record that we are very grateful for all the care and concern that he was given and to thank all of the very hard working staff there. Whatever they earn, It is not enough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind comments regarding your Husbands experience at our hospital.

We have shared your email with the Emergency Department. Such positive praise is always well received and much appreciated by staff in such a busy department.

With kind regards and best wishes to you both,

Hannah Pacifico
