About three months ago, I attended your hospital for a minor operation to remove an arthritic lump from my foot. I'd previously been referred by my GP and was seen by the consultant. We'd discussed various options and settled on removal. I was impressed by the way I was treated and the fact that, to arrange appointments, I was able to talk directory to the consultant's secretary, who was extremely helpful. The day of the operation happened to coincide with a junior doctor's strike, but the consultant carried on regardless. The theatre staff were great and we had a laugh before I drifted off into oblivion. After I woke from the operation I had a very nice lunch, and was discharged in the early afternoon. I was given painkillers and advised my foot would become quite sore once the anaesthetic wore off, but remarkably there was no pain at all. The site healed up within days, and now the scar is barely discernible. So, a great job, many thanks to all the staff. No doubt something else will drop off soon...
