Dad discharged with a drain that needs emptying daily. It keeps blocking but the district nurses make light of it and refuse to unblock it because they say they are not trained. This is very stressful for my parents who then have to go back to hospital almost daily. Why can't they be trained? If the device can't be provided in home, then patients should not be discharged. Very poor service and lack of empathy.
