If I could give it more that 5* I would. I have had a phobia of blood tests (I'm fine with needles) since the age of about 10 after having some very bad experiences. It was so bad that I had refused to have any tests done for 20 odd years and even refused to have an operation due to this.
The middle of last year I did not have much of a choice and had to have a test done, to get me through I had to take strong medication just to walk into the waiting room and I was still crying, sweaty and sick.
After visiting Christchurch pathology department a couple of times, the staff slowly built up my confidence through listening to how I wanted it taken and talking to me with care.
I and my family are now proud to say I am over my phobia, ok I still do not like them but can manage it without drugs. This is all because of the amazing team which I would like to thank them for helping me over come this issue many professional people have failed to do.
"Amazing team"
