Soon after my 73rd birthday at the beginning of 2016 I unexpectedly found myself in A&E at St Peters with severe breathing difficulties,
What an eye opener!
From the moment of arrival at the "pit stop" to my discharge from hospital some thirty hours later I experienced patience, efficiency and compassion from all levels of staff, in spite of a continuously heavy workload!
We hear continual criticism of NHS care in the media.
Certainly my experience on this occasion was very different.
I would like to say thank you to everyone involved.
"Thank you!"
