Prior to giving birth, I attended the Hypnobirth and active birth classes at the hospital. This is my first child and the classes helped me to understand every stage of labour and feel much more confident about the actual event as well as giving me tools to cope.
My actual labour was more complicated than anticipated but the staff were truly amazing throughout. They respected my wishes, kept me fully informed, supported me and were everything you would ever need in such a situation. I didn't feel like just another woman giving birth at any stage- I could have been the only person on the ward the amount of care and attention I received (I know it was actually a very busy weekend).
The facitlities were also excellent- especially the delivery ward. The food was also good too!
Thank you so much to all the superb midwives and assistants - you were amazing!
"Excellent staff in maternity"
