My newborn grandson was transferred here on the night of 21st/22nd of September from Birmingham. whilst not knowing for the first days whether he would surivive, my daughter and son in law were complete wrecks.
I cannot praise this unit highly enough. Our boy made slow steady progress and after 2 weeks was transferred back to Birmingham.
The professionalism is ' I believe' the best anywhere in the world. But I have to say that the care and support given to our family during this awful time was outstanding. All the staff were caring, considerate and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. They made it all bearable, especially for my daughter, and for that I will be forever gratefull.
