I was brought into the cardio care unit via A&E and AMU on 13/10/2015.
A heart attack was diagnosed in A&E, and I was already scheduled for an angioplasty on 21/10/2015 at Wexham Park Hospital.
Due to what happened, it was then decided to put my angioplasty procedure forward.
I had come to Wexham for an unrelated appointment at General Surgery, but due to chest pains, I decided to go to A&E, as described above.
Obviously, I missed my original appointment, and, as a result of what had happened, was unable to get in touch with the proper department or home to inform them about the appointment.
Just before my discharge from Cardiology, we talked to the Ward nurse about having missed my original appointment, and the they talked to a receptionist who worked at the Cardiology Reception who informed us that I had been referred back to my GP because of missing my appointment, but still managed to get me a new appointment, and when they informed us it was going to be in Bracknell, and my wife said it was not possible for me to get there, they immediately managed to get me transport for that day.
I am extremely impressed and happy with the service and care I have received at WPH's cardiology department.
Thank you ever so much,
"Very impressed with service received."
