What I liked
The staff - consultants, doctors, all nursing and auxiliary staff, porters, were generally very caring and considerate despite the considerable pressures on their time.
In order to try and help me as soon as possible, scans Xrays etc were arranged as quickly as possible - again despite considerable demands on time.
What could be improved
More fresh air, though I understand that it is difficult to accomodate such a range of ages and illnesses. And/or more fans.
Disposable wipes in the bathrooms for toilet seats would be helpful for staff, sick and not so sick people.
Back ache seems to be a common 'side effect' of hospital beds - as hot water bottles are not allowed, perhaps some kind of warm gel packs.
I was surprised at the amount of salt, butter and white sugar with the meals and not much fresh fruit (perhaps cost)
Anything else?
I'm afraid I still don't like the building and the lack of windows except in the corridors.
Consequently natural daylight and views are often limited and I've always thought they were quite important in recovery.
However I can see the argument for having expensive facilities and equipment all on one site.
