in march 2015 i went to queen hospital to start induction so i could deliver my son, who i had earlier been told had died at 36 weeks. they were extremely compassionate and patient with me. i did see a lot of doctors and midwifes since it took me five days to give birth. it was i who wanted a VBAC the doctors did give me other options to hurry it along, like breaking my water. But i made my wish known to them (i didn't want it broken as this had slowed down my previous labour) and they supported me with my decisions. all i of the workers i saw were wonderful, i was allocated a room far from the other ladies and their babies. i never heard another lady in labour or a baby crying, which i loved. my birthing partners were always being offered refreshments whenever a midwife came and offered me some, which i found surprising but loved very much.
