I originally was referred to counselling, with the encouragement of my wife, to discuss abuse I suffered as a child and also a sexual assault which happened to me at 19.
My wife died in August this year with cervical cancer, so my sessions became more about my bereavement, but my counselor was excellent and allowed me to go wherever my thoughts took to me.
This has been a much more positive experience than I thought it would be, as I am also registered blind and have many day to day issues to deal with. Thank you to all the staff and IM, especially Kieth.
