"Under-rated hospital!"

About: The Royal London Hospital

I came here with extreme chest pains today after an episode of shingles. I was seen within 30 minutes by a triage nurse and immediately given painkillers, vitals, had an ECG and sent for x-ray. X-ray was over with then I was sent to a waiting room alone. The downside - waited in this room for an hour and was not happy about this so went to speak to a nurse who luckily got the doctor to see me in a separate room. They had on record my bloods had been taken, which they had not yet but when I told them this they got them done straight away and fitted me with a cannula. It may have been the blood loss but I fell asleep for what felt like an hour. Then I was woken and put in a ward bed to rest whilst my results came through. My phone batteries had died and the staff were nice enough to let me use the nurse desk phone to inform everyone I needed to inform. I got tearful and the nurse was very nice he sat and spoke to me and got me a sandwich and some juice (I hadn't eaten all day and been there for nearly 9 hours). Eventually fell asleep for a while then got woken up to be told I am fine to go home. This hospital carry out a good duty of care, everyone can make mistakes we're human but they quickly rectify them, I would go here again if I was urgently unwell.
