"Awful service"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

I went into A&E after dislocating my knee cap at home and put it back in myself. I got there, there was an awful receptionist. I had to wait a hour before seeing a nurse who I couldn't fault. Then had to wait another 2 hours to see a doctor who was rude and disrepectful. Sent me for an X-ray to wait another hour for this rude doctor to send me home. The doctor referred me to the fracture clinic. I said i work in Nottingham could you refer me to that hospital I was told I had to sort it myself if I wanted it there. No help or luck sitting there for hours. Useless.

Please may I offer my apologies for the way in which you have been treated. I will speak to all the receptionist to ensure they are polite at all times. I would like some more detail from you in order to speak to the individuals concerned. I would then be able to take your concerns relating to the Doctor being rude to the consultant so he could raise the issue to the individual. We could have helped you attend a clinic local to your home address and it saddens me that we have caused you the inconvenience of returning. Please accept my apologies and assurance that this matter is taken seriously and the issues raised will be acted upon.
