Attended the urgent care centre at Whittington Hospital late on a Friday afternoon for an infected scratch on my hand. I was very quickly triaged by a very kind, friendly and thorough nurse who also checked my obs and was good enough to check the waiting time for me to give me an accurate idea of how long I'd likely have to wait. The facilties in the waiting room were good, with a place to charge mobile phones, clean toilets, and two well-stocked food & drink vending machines. Not long after being triaged, I was called in by a doctor who was extremely kind and friendly, examined me carefully, prescribed antibiotics and a tetanus booster and even spent time to talk with me and ask questions about my chronic health condition. When I asked about possible side effects of the medication he'd given me, he answered honestly with excellent and thorough advice for how I could deal with them. He took the time to give me further advice about what I should do if the antibiotics were not working or the infection became worse. Overall a very positive experience and I was extremely impressed with the service I received from the hospital.
"Great experience in Urgent Care centre"
