This was my 2nd visit to the fracture clinic for the treatment of a fractured and displaced clavicle. At my 1st visit the dr I saw stated that if there was no improvement with the healing that I would be referred to a specialist at my next apt which was set for two weeks time. In that two weeks I have been in agony and you can visibly see the protruding bone getting worse I attended my 2nd apt and was seen by a diffrent dr who totally disregarded the previous drs opinion despite seeing the evident difference in the xrays that the fracture is not healing and the displacement is worse......no continuity of treatment at all..,, the enevitable will happen and I will need surgery however in the meantime im left in pain and my ability to work is compromised for a greater period of time.......how can this possibly be an acceptable treatment plan? I asked for a 2nd opinion and was fobed off that no one else was available..,,.in a hospital that size beggars belief. I was then informed that if the bone breaks through the skin to come staight back,....surely I shouldnt have to wait for that to happen before I get the treatment I need? I would like a response please
