I was only admitted as an emergency, for a short while.i can't praise the staff enough for their kindness and the way they explained things and the respect they showed me, I am 74 years old, and the accident unit that night was very busy, but the staff had time to keep me informed, they had already worked a long shift, but still the were all so kind to me, I asked one lovely nurse for a glass of water, she came back with a cup of tea and a sandwich! The cubicle I was in was spotlessly clean, and the medical assessment ward was too, the staff there were also kind and helpful, they explained every thing to me,I would like to thank them all, the people of Blackburn and surrounding areas are fortunate to have such a hospital, I hope the staff ar aware of the respect and esteem they are held in.
