I was admitted to the maternity unit of RPH at the end of April for induction of my pregnancy as there were minor complications. From the moment I was admitted on the ward the level of professionalism was second to none.I cannot fault any of the staff, from doctors, nurses, midwives, healthcare assistants and even cleaners for the level of care provided to me.All staff were caring and nothing was too much work for them. There is so much negative press in the media with regards to the care and service the NHS provides and I can honestly say that I would recommend the maternity unit to any expectant mother. As a first time mum I obviously had no idea what to expect of childbirth. All the staff explained everything fully, nothing was too much trouble. The support received from the midwifery staff was excellent and I couldn't have asked for a better service. I wish to thank every member of staff myself and my son encountered whilst under the care of the maternity unit at RPH,I cannot thank you enough for bringing my son into the world without a hitch and offering advice to me as a new mum.
