In Southport Hospital, my relative had an ulcerated leg and infection for 25 weeks. They received excellent care and the treatment was amazing. The staff were kind and patient as my relative was very ill. She then got pseudomonas infection and was moved to a local Residential Home in Omskirk. Here she received appalling care from the nurses. We wrote a letter of complaint and received a reply saying that they would act upon it. Some of the problems included a lack of cleaning staff, minimal care for very sick patients. Sadly she got MRSA due to the infection in the leg and within ten days was readmitted to hospital.
