I went into Southend Hospital 26/04/14 to have my Gall bladder removed as it was diseased and i had a number of gallstones (19 it turned out), I went in quite early at 7:30am and was shown to a side room and shortly after that a very nice lady on the staff, sorry I don't know who, came and took my details and managed to put me more at ease, then i was visited by the lady anaesthetist who was equally polite and helpful and told i was to be the first one to go down. Finally I was visited by the surgeon, who had a very relaxing way about him and put me at ease. I was taken to the theatre and the theatre staff were all so nice to me, almost made me feel at home they were that nice!. After my op i went to recovery ward and then back to my room, I was continually checked on and about 6:00pm i was discharged. The nursing staff of the ward and the surgeon and his theatre staff were all so very nice to me, full marks to everyone, Best Regards from Diane Hellier
