The hospital has a bad reputation around the area and my experience taught that unfortunately it is well deserved. The midwife involved in my care was very unsupportive. She was in attentive to my care and I was left on my own with my partner for long periods of time. I had a normal pregnancy and normal labour with no complications until I entered the hospital. The midwife kept shouting at me to stay on the bed and not move and had me on continuous monitoring. I had an emergency c-section in the end and there was no consultant cover. The junior doctors were not competent enough and they have botched up the surgery. Horrible experience at the labour ward.
