I received a telephone assessment call from a nurse at a pre-arranged date and time.
She asked about my referral to the services involved, my health, the medication I was taking, any allergies. She also enquired if I had ever had these procedures before, and my experiences at that time.
Then the nurse explained the procedures I was due to have. She advised that I read the literature which would be sent with the Prep ( LENVU). She talked me through the advice, covering the prep itself and what I should eat/ avoid in the few days before the procedures. I was advised to stop taking a certain medication as it would inhibit the imaging which would be taken during the procedures. I made some notes at home, as the assessment continued.
The nurse asked me if I wanted sedation or not during the procedures and noted my reply.
I had the opportunity to ask questions.
