"All around great care"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I started to feel very unwell with excruciating pain around my chest area. I had all classic symptoms of having a heart attack. Considering we live well over an hour from Raigmore, the ambulance only took around 30 minutes to arrive.

The care and compassion these three ladies showed me was outstanding. They explained everything what would happen to me and was very reassuring.

Once at the hospital, there was no waiting around. I was seen immediately first by staff nurse in A&E and didn’t wait very long for the doctor, who again was so nice and reassuring. I felt such a fraud because I was absolutely fine! But wasn’t made to feel that way.

I’d like to thank the ambulance staff and all nurses and doctor in A&E and I’m so grateful for the fantastic care I received.

Dear Tuck63

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, it means a great deal to staff.
Unfortunately we are not always able to see people quickly due to pressures on our systems, so it is encouraging to hear that you were treated quickly and with care.

Thanks,
Nicola

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Tuck63.

I see that your feedback relates to a number of services. I'm responding on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

It’s great to hear that the ambulance crew reached you so quickly and that their care and reassurance made such a difference during what must have been a very worrying time. Your kind words about their compassion and professionalism will mean a lot to them.

If you’re happy to do so, please email sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, date, time and address of the call out, along with your Care Opinion username. This will help us match your story to the crew and share your appreciation with them.

Thank you again for taking the time to write such a thoughtful post. We wish you continued good health.

Warm wishes,
Marie
