I found out that my son was going to be a hydrocephalus warrior at my 20 week scan. From then till now has been a battle but he got there and has been fighting to get where he is today.
My son was born in autumn 2023 by a planned c-section. He was born with hydrocephalus and has fought all the way. He has been in and out for scan check ups, tests, the lot. In Jan 2025 he had his surgery to have his shunt placed.
Can I thank all the health care team for the support they have gave myself for the time we were in the hospital, as we stayed there for the week and the staff were amazing with my son and the other children. My son always had a smile on his face, especially after his operation, and he is still smiling now, he doesn't have to go back till mid 2026 for a check up.
