I attended on my GP's advice with severe pain in my stomach. On arrival into a & e the lady on reception was lovely. The support workers were absolute amazing at their job. But the Doctor who i saw said i was not in a serious enough condition to be there just because my bloods were okish. Yet I was in agony. I asked for pain relief three times but did not get any.
I feel this is not good care. It is appalling leaving patients without adequate pain relief. I attended the department to access help and care not to be made to feel worse. I have raised complaints in the past and not even received a letter of apology. Every patient deserves to be treated with compassion and care. I understand the NHS is at it's highest but this kind of care is unacceptable. I ended up calling 111 to be taken in via ambulance which could have been avoided.
