The South Ayrshire Communication Friendly Team have been absolutely fantastic in supporting my child’s communication needs. The communication boards they provide across South Ayrshire are such a valuable resource — they’ve made a huge difference when we are out and about. Using them helps my child understand what to expect and makes new experiences much more positive and manageable.
I’ve also attended some training through the team, which has been an amazing resource for our family. It’s given us practical tools we can use every day to communicate more effectively.
A special mention to Jo, who has been incredible at pointing me in the right direction for support and resources. Her guidance and kindness has been so appreciated.
Making South Ayrshire a truly communication friendly place is so important for children and adults with additional support needs, and this team are doing an great job in making that happen.
