"use of A&E at Ayr hospital"

Recently at 4pm my wife went to Ayr A&E department, sent by her Doctor, with a note for surgical team to investigate long on-going lower abdomen pain, and difficulty in passing stools.

She waited 8 hours in reception of A&E, before being put on a trolley. At 8am the following morning she had still not been seen by a doctor, though as was in considerable pain, was given morphine during the night.

As I personally had a broadly very similar experience two years ago, I  felt I had to say something about the appalling state of our National Health Service.  My wife and I feel deeply let down.
