I had heart afib, the GP sent me to the hospital as it was urgent and they said I have heart block. I went to the hospital and they said I can't as I have a pacemaker but they confirmed I was in Afib. They felt I was safe to go home so they discharged me to my GP.
My GP said that they would put me on a waiting list for a cardiologist to have an ablation. They said that I could get bumped up if I paid £250 for an appointment or else I'd have to wait. I have paid NHS allowance my life and don't see why I should be treated to this so I didn't pay.
This was in March. I have heard nothing since. The waiting list extends itself every week. I feel totally ignored. I changed surgery hoping to get better attention and now I have pain in my leg. I have asked for some attention there but the surgery has not done anything, not even invited me for an appointment. I feel like the NHS is seeing me as unimportant.
