My experience in Warrington hospital was very poor.
Some staff were mean and uncaring on ward a6.
I felt like a burden when I asked for anything or rang my bell for assistance. At one point I was helped by another more able patient for we figured they weren’t coming to assist me after an hour ringing the call button.
The place was filthy also.
Nurses left used swabs on the table and bed pans were hanging around the ward.
Strong smells, which again was extremely unpleasant, and lack of cleaning all round.
The food was awful, a diet in itself I would say, and everything was just so bad and poor. Staff member made negative and inappropriate comments to another staff member at shift change, displaying poor attitude.
Please try remember people are very vulnerable when they come into hospital and therefore hearing negative attitudes expressed hardly inspires confidence.
I was so glad to get out and felt lucky to have survived the whole thing.
I went straight to church when was well enough to thank God I had.
It made me realise that there is overall lack of care in this world, and what was more upsetting is if you nurse, you're supposed to be caring, patient and compassionate, with empathy. But I saw very little evidence of this, with some staff just the opposite really, and that’s extremely sad and worrying.
"Little evidence of care and compassion"
