At 36+ pregnant I had fall. I anxiously phoned the maternity assessment unit at Princess Royal Maternity, where I was had a reassuring discussion with a midwife and invited up for assessment for peace of mind. On arrival, I was met with a warmth by a health care support worker and made comfortable whilst waiting for assessment.
The midwife, Laura, that came to review me was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. All my questions were answered and reassurance on my baby’s health given. I was offered blood tests and a scan for completeness. My husband and I were incredibly grateful for her clear attention to detail and empathy in her care. A very busy unit but nothing is ever to big or small to ask, couldn’t ask for more.
"Kind and thorough"
