We are just home from a busy Causeway ED on a bank holiday Monday.
Started to feel unwell and rang for advice - advised to attend ED.
From the first lady we met at the front desk to the nurse who discharged us - they were all amazing.
The lady who checked us in was so helpful and couldn't have been more informative.
We then went to Triage and met a lovely deputy sister who again went above and beyond and sent us straight to green zone.
We met a lovely nurse ( ? Margaret) who took bloods and put in a cannula and was such a helpful person and a real credit to her profession.
We met a doctor who quickly looked at bloods and make a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Within 4 hours discharged by another lovely nurse who gave advice on oral antibiotics and worsening advice to return if symptoms did not resolve.
In a world we're so many focus on the negatives of our health service I feel it important to recognise the positives. These people in this department worse tirelessly day in and out with the resources they have available and in the conditions of an ever dependent population.
Thank you all and we are so blessed to have such a service.
"The staff were all amazing"
