"Head and Neck Cancer Counselling Service"

(as the patient),

After surgery and ongoing check-ups for cancer of the mouth, I was recommended to see Julie, a CNS with many years of experience and dedication to patients like myself, attending Royal Devon Head and Neck Cancer Departments.

For the last two years I have been in awe of the kindness and commitment shown by this unique set of Medical practitioners; and now I can add the Counselling service to my critique.   Julie is calm, friendly, approachable and completely open-minded.  I was hesitant at first, but in her room, ‘safe space’ we were able to address any doubts and worries, which her professionalism guided seamlessly.  Her dedication to patients and her wealth of knowledge, gained through hard commitment, shone through. I count my self blessed, that if I had to have mouth cancer, then I am very lucky to be in the hands of such capable peopke.
