"Excellent service"

About: Physiotherapy / Pain management

(as the patient),

I had my first assessment appointment with Fife Pain Management Service. I felt seen, listened to and heard for the first time by a NHS professional regarding my spine condition. I was given the time to answer questions, my opinion about my condition was taken into account and the advice and  support answered my questions and follow up appointments were arranged. Would be great if the model used by Pain Management Service could be used in other areas of the NHS. I felt treated as an individual, valued and reassured by the plan we agreed together. Given some of my recent experiences with the NHS , I wanted to share a positive experience.

Dear Pedals72

I am Ros, the Service Lead of the Fife Pain Management Service.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience after your first assessment with our service. We are aware that a lot of information is covered at first appointment, and we appreciate knowing that during this time you felt listened to and heard. I will be sure to share your feedback with the team who complete all first appointments and our wider pain management team.

I want to wish you all the best as you continue to develop pain management strategies for the long term with the support of our multi-disciplinary team.

Kind Regards,

Ros Standish, Service Lead, FPMS.
