My mother is in her 90s. She attends a pessary clinic in SWA in Enniskillen. Her appointment should, strictly, be every 3 months.
Her appointments were cancelled and rescheduled by the clinic 3 times leaving a 7 month gap.
As a result of the delay my mother is badly ulcerated internally. Had she been seen at three months, this might not have happened.
Her rectal prolapse needs immediate attention. An appointment to see a colorectal surgeon was requested in May. Still no word.
Why does my elderly mother have to suffer unnecessarily?
Given her age and circumstances, why is she not an urgent case. I hate to see my mother suffer. It’s very unfair.
Please help.
