"Helped us make the right decision"

I just want to highlight the fantastic care & attention given to my family in the process of helping my Mother in Law. As when everyone reaches this stage of Dementia with a loved one, the care, help & support from East Renfrewshire older adult mental heath team, Willow clinic, and Michelle in particular really helped us make the right decision of what was best. 

I didn’t know what to expect, however from our first meeting to now that my mother in law is in a care home with 24/7 care there has been care & sentiment towards us and finding a place where she can be happy, secure & safe. 

They truly make a difference at helping your family through a difficult time even when some of the family might not want their parent to go into full time care, Michelle helped me understand why the care that she required was becoming too much for her sons & me. Actually the way Michelle said was for us to go back to being her family & having happy visits not trying to be full time carers which had became so much more difficult as the months passed. Both of my mother in law's sons are so much calmer & getting time for themselves without checking cameras, door alerts, trackers etc, it had all been getting just too much. 

The Willow clinic have been absolutely wonderful in the support & guidance, even some respite at day centres were a great addition for stimulation for my mother in law, another place that were just so full of care and fun for the ladies & gents attending for a day. 

Mostly a big thank you for Michelle as without her I don’t know how we would have navigated such a challenging time. Thank you.
