In February I had to go to A and E at Ayr Hospital. I had terrible abdominal pain. ALL the staff that I encountered were so kind and caring. After some treatment I was transferred to Crosshouse Hospital. I went to ward 4B. The nurses were wonderful, especially Katy (who really helped me during a worrying time). I was placed on intra venous antibiotics for 5 days. I saw Dr Velu and Dr Inyang. They were both excellent.
In mid April I went to the day surgery unit at Crosshouse for a laproscopic hysterectomy. I was very stressed. I had not had an operation before. All of the staff were so kind and caring. I had not had an operation before.
My anaesthetist came to see me. Dr. Johnstone. As soon as he entered the room an air of calm came with him. He put my mind at ease. I must thank him profusely for this. Then my surgeon, Dr. Inyang came. He explained exactly what he was going to do. He was also very calm and put my mind at ease too.
My operation went extremely well and I went home that night.
I must thank all the staff that I came into contact with. I cannot praise them enough. (Staff nurse Carolyn and nursing assistant Elaine, were very kind on my return to the ward immediately after my operation).
It is now 9 weeks since my op and I am making a great recovery
A huge thank you to all the kind NHS Staff that I came in contact with.
