Went onto the ward with my mother who has terminal cancer and we had been called for as was nearing end of life. Some of the staff were lovely especially the night shift staff.
Some of the day shift stay passed a few comments about the number of visitors we were bringing in, and another who told the domestic staff not to offer tea as would be all day with the amount of people in the room. There was 6 of us. I feel this showed no compassion or empathy what so ever. I didn’t realise it was wrong to have a large family that wanted to spend their family members last moments with them.
