"Quick referral and diagnostics"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Acute medical admissions (AMU) Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I attended my opticians due to headaches where they told me they were going to refer me to the emergency eye clinic at Exeter.

Within the hour of leaving the opticians, the WEU team were ringing me and had arranged an appointment for the following morning where I had an array of tests and they referred me for an urgent CT and lumbar puncture, both of which happened within 24 hours

The staff in WEU were great, and the team in AMU ambulatory were so kind. The whole process was so smooth and efficient and the staff were a credit to their departments, especially Jo in WEU!
