I went into labour mid May and was having some concerns regarding my waters, we then phoned maternity assessment at the princess Royal maternity hospital who advised us to come in and be assessed the moment we stepped in we were greeted with smiling faces, I was a bit emotional as I wasn't sure what was going to happen.
Unfortunately I had to be admitted and be induced. So there were floods of tears but the staff reassured me.
I was then moved to labour ward where I was greeted with more lovely staff members Kat day shift and then Melissa on the night shift.
Both were so reassuring and caring.
Unfortunately babys heart rate dropped scarily low too many times which resulted in a c section.
The theatre staff and anaesthetist were amazing at reassuring me and kept me safe all the while reassuring my husband too we were both so emotional and scared.
But before we knew it our little bundle of joy had arrived, the neonatal team gave her a helping hand and then she was in our arms ❤️
I was then transferred to the post natal ward where I care for by some amazing nurses but shout out to Leigh Anne and Eloise who were both so caring and reassuring and really informative.
The HCA and students were amazing too 😍 so knowledgeable.
I could go on and on about the care I received but over my experience will not be one I forget ❤️
Thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our baby girl into this world we will be forever grateull.
Thankyou to the NHS
