"Physiotherapy outpaients service"

About: Physiotherapy Services / Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy - Outpatients

(as a service user),

I've been suffering from acute pain for many years and although I've athritis in both legs, as well as an arm injury it was suggested I try physio before any more radical surgery was attempted.

I've been working with my therapist for a few months now and she's been utterly brilliant.  She's listened and adapted her exercises to meet my needs,  and, although the pain hasn't completely gone, it has been reduced significantly, enabling me to attempt more, for longer.

I also suffer from a number of mental health issues and during the hospital visits my therapist has been so helpful and kind in adapting the sessions to accomodate these restrictions, and all with good humour.

I really couldn't have asked for better care.  My treatment is coming to an end but I feel as though I've the right tools to manage my condition and I have an offer to review progress at a later date.

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback and reflect on your experience. On behalf of the Physiotherapy outpatient service I am delighted you feel that you have gained from the interactions you've had.

As a service we always try and adapt how we treat patient to their individual needs and give them as you've put it, the 'tools' to manage their condition.

I will ensure all the staff in the Physiotherapy out-patient service are aware of the positive feedback and the acknowledgement of their efforts.

We wish you well on your continued improvement and self management of your symptoms.
