I was terrified waking into that treatment room not knowing what to expect.
Every one I met explained step by step what was about to happen and how they were going to do it, how long it should all take, so I was well informed the whole way! I cried the first time and they were patient, understanding and so reassuring!
Chemo is not fun and no one wants it but it’s got a job to do. The team are so knowledgeable and answered any questions I had, no matter how ridiculous!
Everyone always says hello and makes you feel ‘welcome’, which sounds strange whilst doing their job with the upmost professionalism.
After the first session and initial treatment I felt much better going in week 2 and the staff are all just super duper lovely human beings who you can talk to about treatment or the latest Netflix series. They made chemo doable when you really feel like not doing it.
