"I am going home confident thanks to this team"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation Cameron Hospital / Stroke care Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 1 (Emergency Medical)

(as the patient),

To begin with I did not know that I was having a Stroke, my Sister wanted me to call 111 and I put her off until the next day.To begin with I felt off and light headed. After ignoring the fact that something was not right whilst trying to get up the stairs I started to feel worse. The ambulance took 15 minutes and the crew were amazing, they done some tests on me before I arrived at the Victoria hospital, where I received scans and tests .

The Victoria told me that my heart was beating too fast and proceeded to give me Cardioversion, to bring my heart beat back to normal. After this I have never had a headache or chest pain again.

After all of this I was told I was being transferred to Letham Ward.

This team has superseded in what they do, they are professionals that focus on what they do and are excellent at it.

I have seen nothing but team work from the Domestics to Dr Civoro.

It has been refreshing to be in a place like this, knowing I am getting the best care .

I am going home confident and my mind is strong thanks to this team.

I love the banter from both staff and patients.

I am feeling confident that I am going to do well when I am home due to the help and guidance the team has given me.

Margo from Occupation and Martina from Physiotherapy have very strong personalities and their experience was excellent.

What can I say 10/10

Hi JLWARD,

I just wanted to pop on and thank you for taking the time post such great feedback about the care you received from all of the NHS staff who looked after you.

It's always really nice for our staff when patients get in touch to thank them and means a lot to them.

That must have been a really scary experience for you in terms of all of the symptoms you were experiencing and it's brilliant to read that you received such outstanding care and all of the staff got a 10/10!

Our staff at the Scottish Ambulance Service will certainly appreciate your warm words.

I hope you're recovering well and feeling a bit better.

Thanks again,
Mark
