To begin with I did not know that I was having a Stroke, my Sister wanted me to call 111 and I put her off until the next day.To begin with I felt off and light headed. After ignoring the fact that something was not right whilst trying to get up the stairs I started to feel worse. The ambulance took 15 minutes and the crew were amazing, they done some tests on me before I arrived at the Victoria hospital, where I received scans and tests .
The Victoria told me that my heart was beating too fast and proceeded to give me Cardioversion, to bring my heart beat back to normal. After this I have never had a headache or chest pain again.
After all of this I was told I was being transferred to Letham Ward.
This team has superseded in what they do, they are professionals that focus on what they do and are excellent at it.
I have seen nothing but team work from the Domestics to Dr Civoro.
It has been refreshing to be in a place like this, knowing I am getting the best care .
I am going home confident and my mind is strong thanks to this team.
I love the banter from both staff and patients.
I am feeling confident that I am going to do well when I am home due to the help and guidance the team has given me.
Margo from Occupation and Martina from Physiotherapy have very strong personalities and their experience was excellent.
What can I say 10/10
"I am going home confident thanks to this team"
