I recently had surgery, and 2 weeks later had the stitches removed. Following wound care and the scabbing coming off I noticed that there was still a stitch left in my wound.
I contacted the National Treatment Centre - Fife Orthopaedics on a Friday and spoke to Audrey, once I explained the situation Audrey kindly arranged for me to come along to the Centre on the following Monday (transport issues prevented me attending on the Friday).
On Monday I went along at the arranged time and met Kayleigh (HCW) and Miranda (Nurse). I was in and out of the room in minutes with the stitch removed.
All 3 staff members were excellent in listening to the problem and providing solutions. They showed excellent patient care and are a credit to the Health Board, Thank you all very much.
