My 10 year old daughter was refered by GP to attend Paediatric assessment unit at Musgrove Park hospital for suspected tonsillitis along with dehydration and stomact pains, we was taken to be seen quickly and my daughter was given a bed.
She first met Jon a nurse who checked her obs and managed to get her to drink a full pint of watered down apple juice, my daughter kept saying how she liked him, Jon was amazing with encouraing her to drink and even managed to get a few smiles out of her. She then had Jon and another nurse called Emma come to do her bloods insert and insert a canula which as any 10 year old panicked about having done, but both Emma and Jon were absolutely amazing with her - calm, patient and caring and reassured her.
I can honestly say these two members of staff helped not only my child but myself as a concerned parent the kindness towards myself was out of this world i can not thank them both enough.
