I broke my hip and had to get an operation

I was admitted to two different hospitals and it was quite a worrying time

The staff in A&E at Hairmyres hospital were so kind and caring to me and helped reassure me

The staff in the wards and Consultant who did my operation was just outstanding

My care and treatment from every single member of staff in Hairmyres was marvellous from physios to nursing care to personal care and nutrition to get me better

Social Worker was excellent and helped me to get  discharged and did everything she could to get me the best care package I needed she went above and beyond and I am very thankful to her

Dear februarygn64,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what happened to your hip, I cannot begin to imagine how worrying a time that was for you and I do hope that you are feeling better. It is great to hear positive stories about the work the wonderful staff in our Health Service provide.

If you wish I can pass on any feedback you may have to our staff directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and of course your name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best in your recovery. Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan
