"It takes away from the friendly atmosphere"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as a service user),

I recently spent the full day in the urgent care centre and found all the staff to be so kind and caring.

Upon entering the centre it was such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Which is greatly helped by the paintings on the wall and I loved the pictures of the staff's pets on the wall too. I enjoyed sitting looking at everything as it was really helping take my mind off why I was there. I’m disappointed to return today to see everything taken down. I asked some of the staff why and they said they have been asked to remove them.

I really do think this is such a shame as I think it takes away from the friendly atmosphere they have created. I understand it is a clinical unit but I think if something so simple can make patients feel better then why not.

Obviously this does not take away from the excellent care that the staff in this unit give.

Thank you Megatron for your comments about the excellent care our staff in the Urgent Care Centre deliver. I acknowledge the positive impact the make shift mural had on your experience. Staff were also saddened on hearing the displays were to be removed. We have committed to exploring with staff and a professional digital design company future wall art/images.

Thanks for taking time to feedback. Hope you are recovering well.
